The workshop, hosted by Prof. Dr Rustam Shukurov and Prof. Dr Johannes Pahlitzsch, is conceived as an exchange of ideas on the socio-anthropological and ideological aspects of war across different periods and geographical contexts, with the aim of identifying new dimensions of the topic and innovative approaches to its study.

The conference is organized by Rustam Shukurov and the GRK 2304 “Byzantium and the Euro-Mediterranean Cultures of War. Exchange, Differentation and Reception.”
